I got an Ultimate Sweater Machine! My husband got tired of listening to my complaints about not being able to knit, so he suggested that I try a knitting machine he saw at JoAnn, which was USM.
I always wanted a knitting machine, but somehow never thought about actually buying one. The USM costs much less than other professional quality knitting machines, so I thought I'd give a try.
So far I have knitted several swatches and a scarf from the accompanying project book. I thought about knitting a sweater right away, but I have to learn how to use it first... When it goes wrong, you feel hand knitting is much, much faster! But one of my blog friends in Japan assured me that when you get used to using the machine, it is like a dream... so I have to be patient.
I didn't update this blog last two month at all!! I did knit, though...I made some baby gifts and a few hats and scarves for charity. Small things are fun to knit. Here are pictures..
I was going to make more hats for the charity, but I felt a pain in my wrist and it was getting worse, so I decided to have some rest for a while.
I thought I was going to read during my knitting sabbatical but I only read one book...(which was really really good by the way, P.D. James' new book "The Lighthouse") I just watched DVDs instead.
Now my wrist is much better and I hope I'll be able to knit soon.
