Socks for Grandma

I knitted these socks for my grandmother. We have a holiday for the elderly people some day around September 15th (it is a floating holiday) in Japan and usually grandchildren do something for their grandparents on that day, so these are a present from me.

The sock pattern was great. It is Jackie's Errant Ankles Lace Socks from the Sock Knitter's web site. Beautifully constructed socks! It was a little hard to read all those texts on the computer, but it was worth it. There is a lot of useful information for making your own lace pattern socks.

The yarn is RYC Cashcotton. I really liked its color and feeling, but it turned out the yarn was a totally wrong choice for socks. It doesn't stretch well. Also, I made some mistake with the pattern... Sorry Grandma. I suggested that she use them for bed socks....

Now I'm knitting a jacket for my husband. I thought I could make it before Fall, last Spring... I hope to finish it before the Winter.
