I knitted another pair of slippers. This one is for K. I used leftover Cotton-Ease so that K can wear these now. Wool slippers are still too warm... I think I'll knit a few more pairs!
I started to knit a baby cardigan from Jaeger pattern book a few weeks ago. This is a gift, so I want to make it right, but.... this yarn -Jaeger Match Maker 4ply- is giving me a hard time. I just can't knit it with steady tension. Somehow the width of the piece affects the gauge, so I can't rely on my swatch gauge, and every part knits up in a different size!!! I'm not a very experienced knitter but this doesn't happen a lot to me. Well, there is still lots to learn!
Posted by noriko at October 5, 2004 08:54 PMVery nice slippers! I saw some cute little rubbery decals to put on the bottoms of knit and crochet slippers to keep them from being too slippery:

Aren't they funny!
Thank you for taking the time to reassure me about Minako. Six years! You are right; she does deserve a long break. But I was getting worried, and I miss her.
warm regards to you.
Posted by: Lisa at October 6, 2004 09:03 PMHi Lisa,
Thank you for the link! They are really funny and cute... I thought to buy some for my mother and grandmother (and me), but they were out of stock. They must be popular.
Minako is talented, I really like her works. Have you seen her original tattings? I hope she’ll come back soon...
