it's been a while

It's been more than 2 months since the last time I blogged. It was a hot summer and I didn't knit much. These are my summer knittings.

Somehow I wanted to knit a scarf in the middle of the summer. I used 3 Rowan Yorkshire Tweed 4ply.

This is my second attempt with a crochet hat and it fits perfectly. I used one and a half of Euroflax Aberdeen Heathers. The brim waves a bit. If I made it a little shorter it wouldn't wave, but I chose a longer brim for the shade.

I just finished these socks. Yarn is Cherry Tree Hill Supersock and it's soft! I'd like to knit something to wear next to skin with this yarn someday. I didn't like the color particurarly, but the recipient (my husband, K) likes it so it's O.K.

Hello Noriko,
glad to see your return!
the cherry hill sock yarn is dreamy!
do your socks have a cable in them?
what pattern did you use?
I too am knitting a pair for my husband (not using cherry hill, using regia), in a grey with red flecks, that is not to my liking, but he doesn't like anything too bright! I think next, I'll knit the DNA scarf for him.

Hope you had a good summer!
Trudy

Hi Trudy,
Cherry tree hill supersock is really nice yarn!
Yes, the socks have a cable and I just mixed several sock patterns on the internet and in my knitting book. I'm not sure if it was a good idea because I had to reknit quite a few times...

I remember your husband liked the DNA scarf! Have you decided the color?
