Aran Tea Cozy Pattern

teacozypatterns.jpg

Somebody asked me if I have a pattern of my tea cozy. Since I only had memo and rough sketch, I tried to write a pattern but soon I found it very difficult to write a text pattern. So I asked K if our computer has any tools I can make a knitting chart with. He suggested Visio.

It was fun to make a knitting chart! You can see the result here. Although I did my best to make sure the chart is correct, there might be some errors.

Hi Noriko,
your pattern reminds me of the DNA scarf you knitted...at first I couldn't really see how the scarf was constructed - it resembles a hank of yarn! When I told my husband about it (he's a techie too), he was very excited about the idea of a DNA pattern as a design feature in a garment and said he would wear such a scarf. So I bought the issue - but signs of spring are peeking in...I may have to put it on hold for next year...

HI,

I came a cross your Blog on a google search and i'm hoping you can possibly help me - I'm opeing a knititng store in Toronto Canada and i have several cistomers who are interested in Japanese Knitting Magazines like Keito Dama. I have no idea where to find the magazine or if there is a distributor in the US/Canada, or even the accurate website for the Parent Company.

If you have any Ideas I'd REALLY appreciate it!

Thanks!

Haley

Hi Trudy,
I think the DNA scarf pattern had influenced on me! They are basically the same, cables and a diamond pattern, but the DNA scarf is much more difficult to knit. I couldn’t memorize 35 rows (=1 DNA pattern) so that I had to check every row to knit. I made a few mistakes…
It’s getting warm to wear a scarf here too. I’m almost done with LoTech Sweat for my husband but I’m not sure if he has a chance to wear it.

Hello Haley,
Congratulations for your new knitting store!
I really don’t know where you should contact with, so I’ll just pick up URLs might be useful for you and e-mail you later.
