May To Do List

Sometimes I don’t mind how many WIPs I have at all, sometimes they bother me a lot. Now I’m in a belated spring cleaning mood…so I want to clean up my WIPs. I need a list.

May To Do

• Finish Dolly (Sew ties and a button)
• Finish Posie Bootees (Sew up, make a cord and pom-poms)
• Finish Globe Trotter Socks
• Finish Trinity Stitch Shawl
• Knit Alphabet Blanket to 172th row
• Finish Ariann

(These are only a part of my abandoned work-in-progress projects, but it’s a start none the less)

I really have to work on the Globe Trotter Socks and Trinity Stitch Shawl. Both of them excited me a lot when I started them last fall, but life intervened and I couldn’t knit for awhile… I feel like I’ve been knitting them forever, despite the fact that I haven’t even touched them for months.

Ariann is a new project, which I probably shouldn’t have started now, but I was too frustrated by maternity clothing shopping and decided to make a cardigan for myself.

I have always been a reluctant clothing shopper, because I basically don’t know what to wear other than a pair of jeans and a shirt (or a T-shirt or a sweater). Things got worse when I came to the US. Every bottom was too long for me, and it was hard to find smaller sizes at not-so-expensive stores. I now realized that the hole was even deeper! I just really, really don’t know what to do at maternity clothing stores. I feel dizzy and depressed when I go there…

Anyway… Ariann is a fitted cardigan, but I’m knitting it a little larger and longer than it’s supposed to be. I hope I can wear it.
